Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran asking the whole community not to leave the house in droves when Emergency PPKM. He doesn’t want to use ‘hard’ methods to make people stay at home when new cases of Corona in Indonesia continue to soar.
Initially, Fadil Imran asked the public to reflect on how much they had lost their closest people due to Corona. He wants people to work together to stay at home.
“Try to think for a moment. How many people are close to us, are they work friends, are they family, are the playmates who were there yesterday gone now?” said Inspector General Fadil to reporters at the Bogor Highway Blocking Post, East Jakarta, Sunday (4/7/2021).
Then, Fadil asked the public to have self-awareness. He also asked people who had 1,001 reasons to leave their homes.
“Do I have to force you to return home? Please convey it to the community properly. Do I have to use repressive methods? This is not educational. It is irresponsible. But the law allows it,” he said.
“But if you choose to leave, we will choose to take firm action,” he added.
Found in the same location, Military Commander Maj. Gen. Mulyo Aji also appealed to the public that at this time we were in a state of danger. According to him, this condition must be resolved jointly, it cannot only be solved by the government.
“But looking at the back, the officers have to argue andbackup who want to walk. So I ask for help from RT/RW colleagues, please remind the RT/RW, now open the cellphone and say please stay at home,” said Mulyo.
He also asked RT/RW to help serve the community so that they feel safe. Then, he asked the public to cooperate with the officers in the field not to be stubborn if the officers turned them around.
As is known, the Polda Metro Jaya has imposed vehicle blocking at 63 points in Jadetabek for a period of time Emergency PPKM. Until the second day, there were still many motorists who were blocked by officers in the field.
A number of blocking posts were packed with vehicles that were turned around, leading to a long traffic jam. Especially at the isolation posts at the city’s border with DKI Jakarta.
