NEW YORK – The prestigious New York Philharmonic will have its first two live performances since the onset of the pandemic as part of a series of performances produced by the arts center and the nonprofit organization The Shed, the same organization announced Tuesday.

The series of live performances, which are called “An Audience With…”, and began on April 2, they will have the Philharmonic on Thursday, April 14 and Friday, April 15 in an indoor concert, but following the biosafety guidelines implemented by the New York Department of Health, he said The Shed in the statement.

After a year with no indoor performances, An Audience With… will celebrate the irreplaceable community experience of a New York audience with music and comedy. As part of the series, additional performances are set with soprano Renée Fleming, Bill Frisell, Christian McBride, and Dan Tepfer on April 21, and comedian Michelle Wolf on April 22. This series presents in association with Live Nation, the New York Philharmonic and NY PopsUp, as part of Governor Cuomo’s revitalization of New York live performance.
