Winning 2-0 Has Not Made The Reds Safe

Liverpool

Liverpool pocketed a 2-0 lead ahead of second leg against RB Leipzig. Manajer The Reds, Jürgen Klopp, confirmed that his team has not locked the quarterfinals tickets.

Liverpool managed to beat Leipzig 2-0 in the first leg of the last 16 Champions League. Well, for this second match it is Liverpool’s turn to host at Anfield, Thursday (11/3/2021) in the morning WIB.

The Reds can only be eliminated if Leipzig can reply with a 3-0 win. Even though it is fairly tough for Leipzig, Klopp emphasized that Liverpool have not confirmed anything.

“Leipzig are good, they are good. Nothing more can be said about them. They have a great team, a great manager. I don’t know if they are more dangerous than a few weeks ago,” Klopp was quoted as saying on Liverpool’s official website.

“Now it is only halfway through. We have been in this game long enough to know that we have not met the requirements, we are not there yet. We know that.”

Klopp emphasized that Liverpool must be able to dominate the game again. That’s what made the Reds win in the first meeting.

“But Leipzig were good and good. We also had a very good match on that day. We are happy with that, we don’t let Leipzig dominate as they want. That’s what we want to try again tomorrow,” Klopp confirmed.
