– Forward Wilfried Bonnie, who previously played in the English Premier League, has revealed himself that he is also in contact with the Korean side.

Bonnie said in an interview with British media’BBC’ that was released on the 18th (Korean time), “Our agent is in contact with clubs in Turkey, China, Russia and Korea.”

In an interview that day, Bonnie said, “(Negotiation) is left to the agents.”

Born in Ivory Coast, Bonnie was a striker who received attention in the Premier League in the early 2010s. Since 2013, he has played for Swansea City for two seasons, scoring 39 goals in 96 games. Ki Sung-yong (now FC Seoul) was playing in Swansea at the time, so he is a player familiar to Korean fans.

Bonnie, who performed excellently, moved the enemy to Manchester City in January 2015 for a transfer fee of 32.3 million euros (about 43 billion won). However, in Man City, 11 goals in 46 games did not meet expectations. Bonnie, who returned to Swansea for a while afterwards, took part on the Qatar stage and has become invincible since last November.

It is known that Bonnie is currently participating in team training with the consideration of the Newport County club in England League 2 (fourth division).

Bonnie’s side is also considering a move to England with overseas clubs. Bonnie said, “I can still play an active part in the professional stage for 3~4 years.”

There has not been any news related to Bonnie on the domestic stage including the K League yet.
