The emergency committee of the WorldHealth Organization meets today, ahead of schedule, to discuss the variants of the new coronavirus, which are more contagious and have worried authorities worldwide.

Southern Africa remains the most affected region on the continent, with 1,450,117 infected and 37,891 deaths. South Africa alone has 1,278,303 cases and 35,140 deaths.
10h58 – Two WHO researchers without authorization to enter China
