Reda Shehata, the current coach of El Gouna, explained that his former player, Walter Bwalia, who was recently transferred to Al-Ahly, has the opportunity to succeed with the Red Castle.
Shehata said in statements on the “Ontime Sports 1” screen in the early hours of Saturday morning: “The player will be useful to Al-Ahly, the chances of his success are great.”
He added: “The player has the characteristics of the attacker. I spoke with Al-Ahly officials and confirmed that the player’s advantages are crosses and stability on the ball, and the most important feature is the player’s behavior outside the field.”
He continued: “Bwalia will not need for a long time to harmonize with Al-Ahly because of the presence of his colleague Akram Tawfiq.”
And about the fact that Pitso Musimani contacted him to inquire about Bwalia: “Musimane did not contact me about the player, but some of the football officials at Al-Ahly club.”
Reda Shehata went on to talk about Al-Ahly’s negotiations with El-Gouna, saying: “I used to feel for a while there were negotiations, but I learned about the negotiations two days ago.”
He ended: “The player received foreign offers, but his desire was to move to Al-Ahly. As for the value of the deal, the player deserves the amount that was paid for.”
Al-Ahly announced in the last hours of yesterday, Thursday, the contract with Walter Bwalia, after he signed a four-year contract.
Bwalya is one of the most prominent stars in the Egyptian League last season, as he scored 13 goals with El Gouna, in addition to three goals this season.
