This collection is part of a diptych. The first part is a book written by Ineke Visser. The booklet Dying, time for a different story is about the stratification of the dying process and aims to pave the way for a new story about the last phase of life in our society. Both books tell about the precious and essential of this deeply human experience and are about intimacy, connection and healing. Although this diptych is intended as a plea for ‘ordinary’ dying, the National Dying Expertise Center recognizes and respects other choices such as the unique and personal freedom of every human being.
