During the entire duration of the project, the Giovanni Rana Pastificio will document and certify on its website, through third parties, each package purchased. Every week it will publish sales data at large retailers, certified by IRI (Information Resources, Inc®).

In addition, as already happened in the previous activities in collaboration with Banco Alimentare, all delivery notes relating to the donated Rana products and the relative delivery notes of Banco Alimentare to the charitable structures will be made known, thus making it possible for every consumer to tracking of each package.

Giovanni Rana’s chocolate ravioli, what is the beneficial purpose

The CEO, Gian Luca Rana, explained the initiative. The idea is because, in this historical period, Italian families need sustenance. In the spring of 2020, half suffered a sharp reduction in family income: in some cases it has reached 50% or more of the total income.

For these subjects, Giovanni Rana has relaunched the sweet chocolate ravioli: for each package purchased between October 2020 and February 2021, the pasta factory will donate two fresh Giovanni Rana products to Banco Alimentare which, thanks to its 2,000 volunteers and its 8,000 charitable structures throughout Italy, supports people in difficulty through the distribution of food.
