The concert was created by Dance and song fund – author of the idea Edvards Cīrulis and directors Juris Gogulis and Jānis Romanovskis, gathering about 160 participants in beautiful places of Latvia – Cēsis, Āraiši, Jelgava, Rundāle, Ludza, Liepāja, Bertāni, Grobiņa, Carnikava and Rīga.
“We have to cultivate every love moment of culture and national identity, but November National Holiday Week is the time when people long for the events that give this patriotic holiday mood and make them fall in love again in our country, our Latvia. We want to remind everyone in a hurry every day. , which then really makes Latvia a Latvia that has encouraged our ancestors to believe in the future of our country, which created and kept the spark in them – to call Latvia their own! ” The author of the idea, Edvards Cīrulis, shares the idea of the concert.
In the concert recording, well-known personalities – Lolita Ritmanis, Guntars Račs, Māris Muktupāvels, Jūlija Brauere, Andris Freidenfelds, Katrīna Dimanta, Olga Dreģe, Emīls Balceris, Nora Ikstena, Juris Binde and Dzintars Dreibergs – will share their thoughts on means to be Latvian.
The dance ensemble of the University of Latvia has participated in the creation of the concert Pearl, Riga Construction College dance ensemble Austris, Jelgava city municipal institutions Culture folk dance ensemble Lielupe, VEF Culture Palace folk dance group Zalktis, Riga Culture and Folk Art Center Small guild dance ensemble Creative work, Folk dance ensemble of Liepaja University Banga and musicians Lauris Valters and Ilze Rijniece.
