Marleen tells Jamai that her pregnancy was a terrible period. She got a rare condition. “I had an acute liver thickening. It’s a very rare disease,” she says. “A week before it really went wrong, I was not well. I didn’t feel the flu. (…) I went to sleep more and more. And on Saturday my friend asked if I wanted to come down and said I was yellow. We immediately called the midwife and he never heard the heart anymore. I was already so far away, I did not consciously experience that my son had died. ” In fact, the situation was so bad at one point that no one knew if she would survive. Ultimately, it turned out that the condition would have serious consequences and that she has since had to live with two leg prostheses.

Yet Marleen has a big dream: to visit the ruined city of Petra one day. Although she had already given up on this dream, Jamai makes sure that she can cross this trip off her bucket list. He takes her to Jordan and ensures that she has not just seen a historic city, but even one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
