BACKGROUND
Ahmet Mesut Yılmaz was born in Istanbul on November 6, 1947. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Economics and Finance in 1971. Mesut Yılmaz is a Rize deputy in the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th and 21st terms. Yılmaz served as the Chairman of the Motherland Party between 1991 and 2002.
