In the last four days, the daily increase has always exceeded the thousand limit and it is likely that this will happen on Saturday as well. There are currently 13,086 infected people in the country, most of whom have a mild course of the disease.
There have been 121 more cases of coronavirus in Prague in the last 24 hours, the least this week. Since the beginning of the epidemic, almost 7,000 people have been infected in the capital. This follows from data on the website of the Prague Hygiene Station. For technical reasons, however, the hygienists do not provide any other current data this weekend. By Friday evening, there had been 4653 cured people in the metropolis since March, 114 people with covid-19 had died.
For the first time this week, the daily rises in those infected in the capital exceeded 200, three times. Ten times in a row they did not fall below a hundred.
According to the data of the Ministry of Health, there are about 134 infected people in Prague in the last seven days. Only the districts of Plzeň-jih and Kladno are worse off.
297 people are hospitalized with covid-19, 69 of them are in a difficult condition. This follows from data on the website of the Ministry of Health as of Saturday at 18:00.
Increases in those infected throughout the Czech Republic were reflected in the traffic light, which determines the degree of risk of infection. According to the Ministry of Health, there are five other districts in the second orange level of risk together with Prague, the green level of alert applies in 40 districts instead of the current ten.
Despite the high increase in those infected, hospitals in Prague have seen only a slight increase in the number of patients with coronavirus in recent days. Most of them set aside beds for covid patients. For the time being, patients with a severe course are counting in units and some of the beds are still free.
Since March 1, when the first cases of coronavirus infection appeared in the Czech Republic, 34,744 infections have been recorded. More than 21,000 of them were cured of the disease and 453 people with covid-19 died.
