78 new “Stars of Styria” in the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld region

In the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district there were a total of 1,251 apprentices in 434 training companies in 2020 (source: apprenticeship statistics 2020). As qualified specialists, you are now backing the business location. Apprentices who pass their final apprenticeship examination with distinction are honored annually as “Stars of Styria” (powerd by Raiffeisen, Uniqa and Energie Steiermark) together with their training companies and with graduates of master’s and proficiency examinations. The trophies and certificates were recently presented in a festive setting in the Fürstenfeld town hall: 23 masters, 29 apprenticeship graduates and 26 training companies took their stars and certificates on the stage from WKO director Dr. Karl-Heinz Dernoscheg, WKO regional office chairman Ing. Herbert Spitzer, WKO regional office chairman deputy Christian Sommerbauer and WKO regional office manager Simone Pfeiffer. “The award of the ‘Star of Styria’ is a strong sign of appreciation for those people and companies who invest particularly in training and thus in the future of our country,” affirmed WKO regional office chairman Ing. Herbert Spitzer, and continued: “ This is where the specialists are presented that the economy and society so urgently need. We would like to thank the training companies in the district for the high quality of the vocational training and we warmly congratulate all the newly crowned ‘stars’. At the same time we also say thank you to our sponsors – Raiffeisen, Uniqa, Energie Steiermark, for their support. “
