750 people marched for a “real climate law” in Marseille – Marseille – Environment

According to the organizers, the various processions organized for the climate brought together 110,000 people in France today and 12,000 according to the authorities.

In Marseille, 750 people gathered to support the work of the members of the Citizens’ Convention, launched by Emmanuel Macron, but little included in the Climate and Resilience law which will be presented tomorrow to the deputies.

A year ago, nearly 150 citizens were commissioned by the government to formulate proposals to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Objective: a reduction of at least 40% by 2030.

140 proposals were drawn up on themes such as transport, our consumption habits, air transport, housing, building renovation, food or agroecology … In the end, in the text of the law that will be presented tomorrow to the National Assembly, only ten measures were taken “without filter” as Emmanuel Macron had committed, in 2019, before this convention began.
