75 people lost their lives after the typhoon in the Philippines

It showed figures that the authorities presented on Sunday. On the popular tourist island of Bohol alone, 49 deaths have been reported as a result of Typhoon Rais’ ravages.

The destruction is enormous after the storm that swept over the country’s southern and central areas on Thursday. Several of the dead drowned in the great floods that the storm brought with it.

It is estimated that around 300,000 people have had to leave their homes, but according to an official in the province of Negros Occidental, many did not want to evacuate.

Typhoon Rai, which also goes by the name Odette, moved west across the South China Sea in the direction of Vietnam on Saturday. According to forecasts, it is expected to turn north towards Hong Kong in the coming week.
