This Saturday, November 20, 2021, an undeclared demonstration took place on the boulevards of Toulouse to protest against the health pass or to oppose vaccination against covid19. Étienne Guyot, prefect of the Occitanie region, prefect of Haute-Garonne, had by prefectural decree of November 19, 2021 prohibited access to the Toulouse hypercentre to this “undeclared protest rally”.
The demonstration on Saturday brought together some 600 people according to the police. Despite the peaceful nature of the majority of the demonstrators, certain radical groups engaged in abuses by throwing stones or provocations against the police. Some demonstrators tried to enter the perimeter of the city center. They were pushed back by the security forces. An individual has been fined.
