Using a common scam, a 60-year-old man from Neuenhagen was scammed with a large sum of money via Whatsapp. For this, as announced Sunday by the police, an unknown author contacted him in writing on Friday afternoon via the messenger service and pretended to be a close relative with a new phone number who urgently needed money. Only after the transfer was the fraud noticed and reported to the police.
