6-Year-Old Girl Hit and Robbed by Skateboard in New York – NBC New York

NEW YORK – Not even children are safe from crime in New York! A 6-year-old girl was beaten and robbed, all for a $30 skateboard.

The girl was punched in the chest just before a group of suspects stole her Razor scooter during a violent broad daylight ambush at a Williamburgh intersection, according to authorities.

The attack happened late last month, and the New York police said Friday they are seeking help to stop their attackers.

According to police, the girl was in Williamsburg, near Throop Avenue and Bartlett Street, shortly before 6 pm on July 28 when three individuals approached her.

One of them punched him in the chest with a clenched fist while the other two grabbed his scooter.

The three of them ran down Throop Avenue. The girl was treated at the scene. Her scooter was worth about $30.

Police released surveillance footage of the suspects in an effort to track down their whereabouts.
