The number of infections in nursing homes is steadily decreasing. There are now 310 nursing homes where at least one corona infection has been diagnosed in the past two weeks. A week ago there were 380, and more than 850 in mid-January.
Czech Republic and Estonia
Elsewhere in Europe, things are not going well, especially in the Czech Republic and Estonia. The Czech Republic seemed to have recovered from the wave of January, but is now again struggling with more than 1000 infections per million inhabitants. In Estonia, the situation was stable for a long time, until the number of corona cases increased sharply last month and is now close to the Czech Republic.
