Since his gastric bypass surgery earlier this year, former soccer manager Reiner Calmund has lost more than 50 kilograms. Now he is “as flexible and fit as not in a long time” and “has a completely different attitude to life”.
Last weighed in Reiner Calmund around 170 kilograms. Then in January he underwent a gastric bypass surgery. “Before my operation I got a breath after 50 meters of walking. “If I used to go swimming, I was the hippopotamus or the walrus,” says Calmund. “Now it’s a little bit more pleasant. It’s a completely different way of life. I also imagine that I’m clearer in the bulb.”
Among other things, Reiner Calmund wanted to lose weight so that he could do more with his nine-year-old daughter Nisha. “I like swimming. My youngest daughter just made her seahorse,” he says. “We play badminton and move a lot. All of a sudden it is possible again.”
“I should have done this surgery ten years earlier,” he says in retrospect. “I can only recommend this to everyone affected.”
The appetite is still there after the operation. “Eating ends only earlier because the stomach is smaller,” explains Calmund. But he has not yet achieved his goal. His ideal weight is 100 kilogramshe said in May.
