5,000 fake agents unmasked

Libreville, Monday December 4, 2023 (Infos Gabon) – The Prime Minister, head of government, says he has dismantled a vast network of fraudsters who were earning money from the state coffers with impunity.

Raymond Ndong Sima was this Sunday in front of the national press to address a range of subjects of general interest. Without tongue in cheek, without complacency or demagoguery, the Prime Minister, head of government, took stock of the Gabonese civil service. “There is a problem in the Civil Service. Indeed, how can you explain that we recorded 5,000 recruitments in unauthorized areas out of 12,000? There are abnormally unreasonable situations in the Civil Service. We have public agents in payment, who do not have service receipts, agents whose service certificates are signed on the same day as the blue slips,” he denounced.

According to him, the Civil Service is characterized by enormous disorder which benefits certain individuals. “There is a huge mess that we discovered at the Ministry of Civil Service. This suited some people because as soon as the minister began to touch on this situation, there was an outcry with agitations coming from all sides. We receive an incredible number of questions, with the aim of drowning out the problem,” said Raymond Ndong Sima.

The Prime Minister, head of government, also indicated that the Ministry of Housing is also affected by this gangrene. “At the Ministry of Housing, even if someone is a genius, it takes time to understand what happened and then in many cases, the people who were guilty of this situation or complicit in it. this operation are in the house,” he said. “ DIn these two ministries, the people who are at the origin of these frauds are present. We will take the time necessary to highlight fraud. And the perpetrators will be prosecuted “, he added.
