“Tatort – Borowski and the Sea” (Sunday, August 16, 8:15 pm, ORF 2)
With, among others, Axel Milberg, Sibel Kekilli, Jan Peter Heyne, Nicolette Krebitz, Andreas Patton, Karoline Eichhorn and Philipp Hochmair; Director: Sabine Derflinger; Production year: 2014
The lawyer Jens Adam (Andreas Patton) is shot dead on a night boat excursion by the Marex company. His body disappears in the sea. Marex is the world leader in the mining of raw materials in the deep sea, specializing in rare earths. By mining these metals, which are found in every mobile phone, Marex wants to land a million dollar business. Does Adam’s death have anything to do with the murder of an environmentalist who protested the destruction of the ocean floor? Jens Adam’s wife Marte (Nicolette Krebitz) could also have killed her husband out of jealousy because he had several affairs. Sarah Brandt (Sibel Kekilli) discovers a video on Adam’s computer in which he openly accuses the Marex company of murdering him. Commissioner Borowski (Axel Milberg) suspects that the solution to the case can be found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea and dives into the depths.
