5 new metro stations will operate next Wednesday, with “Al-Tawfiqia, Nile Valley, Gamaet Al-Doula, Boulaq Al-Dakrour, and Cairo University” stations receiving passengers after the successful test operation without cargo -listening, thus completing the construction stages. The Deputy General Engineer Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transport, announced that based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to provide citizens with advanced, safe and reputable mass transport services to facilitate their various movements, it was decided, starting from the morning of Wednesday, May 15, 2024, to test the activity with passengers for the third part of the third stage of the third line «3C» »A is 7.1 kilometers long and extends from Al-Tawfiqia Station to Cairo University, passing through Wadi Al-Nil Street, the League of Arab States, and Boulaq Al-Dakrour.
