It was he who dried Canada in the group stage. He replaced him in the semifinals with the Swedes and did not miss it at a critical moment. In the end, he rescued our team to the last in the final. Being two years older than Askarov, the goalkeeper of the Ak Bars system turned out to be psychologically much more stable. And against the background of other goalkeepers he looked solid. Of those who spent more than two matches at the MFM, the reliability coefficient is better only for Canadian Joel Hofer.
Alexander Romanov
Our most productive defender. The only player of the Russian youth included in the symbolic team of the tournament. Unlike the past of the MFM, the grandson of Bilyaletdinov was recognized as the best defender, but Rasmus Sandin was very good. Nevertheless, Romanov made a strong impression. As in Vancouver, he showed what potential it has. Playing for CSKA, he receives neither such freedom nor such a role on the site. When Alexander’s hands are untied, he’s capable of much. Moreover, this is not just a reckless attacking defender, but a player who is incredibly useful on both sides of the court. Finding him a replacement for the next MFM will be extremely difficult.
Egor Zamula
Most of this guy will be remembered for loud performances in the mixed zone. What is the comparison of Canadians with “some Latvians”, with which Zamula managed to offend two nations at once. Egor is already called the hockey Dziuba, and in social networks he is friends with the volleyball player Spiridonov, but do not forget that this is also a cool defender. To imagine our special brigades of the majority without him was not easy. Perhaps he is not as versatile as Romanov, but he moves the puck on the blue line, as few people know how even from the players of an adult team. He began the World Cup with a double at the Czechs, and ended up with the fact that it was after his throw that Nikita Alexandrov opened the score in the final.
Nikita Alexandrov
A wagon that can play both on the edge of the attack and in the center. Our most stable player, if you take performance as a measure. Unlike Sokolov, who could spend the least time on ice in one match and decide in another, Aleksandrov scored points in every (!) Match in the tournament, which is unique in itself. He scored, interestingly, exclusively for Canadians. Nikita could play subtly in the game, and go solo to the aisle, and as the finale showed, he could competently play in the game. Alexander Khovanov
In principle, in place of Alexander Khovanov there could be several attackers of the Russian team. Ivan Morozov and Yegor Sokolov scored twice in the semifinals with Sweden. For the second year in a row, Grigory Denisenko became the top scorer of the youth team. And how do you like the Kazan giant Dmitry Voronkov? The problem is that someone’s performance randomly jumped around the tournament, while other talented attackers, in general, grabbed fatal deletions. Khovanov also had 2 + 10 in the game with Sweden, but he held the tournament most exactly of all the above players. Our most creative center was responsible for the implementation of the majority, and without glasses remained only in the final and the match with the Americans.
