Christine Wahlmüller-Schiller completed a double degree in journalism and communication sciences / Spanish as well as international business administration / history after completing a modern language high school. She worked as a journalist while studying. In 1996, purely by chance, she ended up in a PR agency, where she only looked after IT companies as clients. After working for a software company and an Internet service provider, she started as an IT specialist journalist in 2003.
In an interview, she talks about her many years of experience and gives an insight into everyday IT journalistic life, highlights of her work, but also how she managed to act successfully as the only woman in an all-male domain and to go her own way. Since November 2021, Christine has been responsible for marketing and communication at the Center for Technology Experience.
The topic of women and IT has always been important to her, so in February 2020 she founded the WOMENinICT network in the Association of Austrian Software Innovations (VÖSI) together with five women from the industry. The aim is to get more girls and women interested in IT jobs and the industry. Her always solution-oriented motto: Where there is a will, there is a way.
