On Thursday night, a 44-year-old man had an accident with his scooter on the state road in Rüthi. He was slightly injured and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. The man was classified as unfit to drive.

The 44-year-old scooter driver drove his scooter on the state road from Oberriet in the direction of Sax shortly before 1.30 a.m. For reasons that are not yet known, his scooter got too close to the right-hand side of the road and crashed into the curb. As a result, the driver lost control of his scooter and fell to the ground.
The man suffered minor injuries on impact and had to be taken to the hospital by ambulance. The scooter caused property damage of around 200 francs. The scooter driver was classified as unable to drive, according to a police press release. The prosecutor ordered a blood and urine sample.
