From January 31 to February 6, an average of 41 people died from the coronavirus every day, which is a quarter more than a week earlier. “Anyone who is of age and who has not had a booster shot runs the greatest risk,” says Steven Van Gucht of Sciensano. He expects that the number of deaths will decrease again in a few days to a maximum of two weeks.
