4 Ways to Treat Hemorrhoids Naturally Page all

Aloe vera is safe to try, but don’t add any other ingredients or creams.

4. Epsom salt and glycerin

This lesser known home remedy can help relieve painful hemorrhoids.

Use the following simple ingredients to make a compound that can be applied directly to the inflamed area:

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of Epsom salt with 2 tablespoons of glycerin.
  2. Apply the mixture to the gauze and place on the sore area.
  3. Leave this application on the area for 15 to 20 minutes.
  4. Repeat every four to six hours until the pain subsides.

Apart from the three methods above, some people believe that acidic apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil can also be beneficial in reducing pain in hemorrhoids.

However, said Zutshi, there has not been any specific research that has examined this matter, so it must be avoided, to prevent new problems from arising.

He also suggests consulting a doctor and getting a proper diagnosis when it arises symptoms of hemorrhoids.

“It’s important to see a doctor and watch out for bleeding, especially if you’ve never had hemorrhoids before,” he said.

To help treat and prevent hemorrhoids, Zutshi emphasized the importance of eating enough fiber (25 grams a day for women, 38 grams a day for men) and drinking at least eight glasses of water a day.
