BEIJING, October 14, 2022 (Xinhua) – Official data released by the National Energy Authority last Thursday showed that the use of electricity in China, a key measure of economic activity, has maintained stable growth during the first nine months of this year.
Electricity consumption rose 4% year-on-year to 6.49 trillion kilowatt hours in January-September this year, according to the authority.
The volume of electricity consumption in primary industry grew by 8.4% yoy in the first nine months of this year and electricity used in secondary and tertiary industry increased by 1.6%, respectively. 4.9%.
