On August 22 and 23, the fifth tournament of the summer stage of the Latvian professional 3×3 basketball league “Top Gun” took place in Ogre. For the first time, 12 men’s teams and five women’s teams participated in the tournament.
In the final game of the men’s tournament “Mārupe” (Artūrs Kramiņš, Elvijs Frīdenbergs, Niks Niklāvs Višņevičs and Reinis Otersons) with 21:17 beat “Kandava / Anzāģe” (Arvis Savčenko, Kristaps Gotfrīds, Ritvars Kauliņš, Roberts Rozentāls).
Sunday in the quarterfinals “Bauerfeind” – “Avotu Reprezent” 21: 9, BC “3×3 Madona” – “Marupe” 16:21, VEF BA Valka / VJCĢ – RSU 16:21, BC “Ogre” – “Kandava / Anzāģe” 14 : 21.

In the women’s competition, 3×3 women (Baiba Eglīte, Kristīna Petermane, Rūta Stiprā. Enija Ķīvīte) won in the main tournament in all four games, beating the Lithuanian team “Swishnite / Autokajuta” in the final game – 16: 9.
five teams have applied, including guests from Lithuania. A round tournament will be played on Sunday. The two best teams will determine the winners in the final game,
The Latvian 3×3 Basketball League tournament series “Top Gun” will take place from July to May. There are 6 summer stages and a final stage. In the first stage, BC “Saldus” won in Ventspils, in the second stage in Saldus the first place was won by the Latvian national team playing under the “Ķekava” flag, in the third stage in Rēzekne the Madona unit was the best, but in the fourth stage in “Liepāja” “Ķekava” won again. There is also a summer stage in Jelgava and a final stage in the shopping center “Akropolis”.
