“My only goal is to create the best radio program possible. With exactly the music we now play on 3FM, innovative and without concessions.”
That’s why he’s in the right place with the channel he left for Radio 2 four years ago. “The bigger the audience you want to reach, the more you have to strip the edges of your program, looking for the common denominator. I prefer to work from the heart. “
Perlin made the choice to return to 3FM when he replaced his colleague Rámon Verkoeijen, who has been at home with a burnout for a long time. In addition to working for 3FM, Perlin retains his Sunday morning program on Radio 2. His hours on Saturday morning will be taken over by Emmely de Wit from April.
The DJ thinks that radio is an ideal medium for the time in which we now live. “It is the ultimate quarantine medium. Soon, when the crisis is over, everything will change again. Now it is very intimate. I enjoy it.”
