36.36 million people have been vaccinated against COVID-19

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The number of Indonesians who have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine is recorded at more than 36.36 million, according to data from the COVID-19 Task Force on Monday afternoon.

The number of recipients of the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine increased by 101,172 to a total of 36,368,191 people throughout Indonesia.

Meanwhile, residents who have received two injections of the COVID-19 vaccine or have finished undergoing vaccination have increased by 25,120 people to a total of 15,036,468 people.

The government plans to vaccinate around 181.5 million citizens or about 70 percent of the population in order to realize community immunity against COVID-19.

The government is targeting 40,349,049 people in the implementation of the first and second stages of the vaccination program which includes groups of human resources in the health sector, public service sector workers, and residents aged 60 years and over or the elderly (elderly).

Currently the COVID-19 vaccination target has been expanded to pre-elderly residents (50 years and over), residents aged 18 to 49 years, and children aged 12 to 17 years.
