A Dutchman drowned in a swimming pool in Lommel, Belgium last night. The 31-year-old man came from Eindhoven, according to Belgian media.
The swimming pool was rented last night by a mosque in Lommel, just across the border from Luyksgestel. According to The last news the man is said to have played volleyball in shallow water, after which he probably became unwell. He was found moments later at the bottom of that pool.
The emergency services who arrived a little later resuscitated the man, but to no avail. The police investigated the drowning. A doctor would have determined that there was no crime.
