3000 extra agents can take early retirement Interior

The temporary arrangement is an addition to existing arrangements to stop working earlier. The pension agreement that the cabinet, employers and unions concluded last year offers the possibility of agreeing such schemes for employees who cannot continue to work healthily until their state pension.

The proposal is intended for police officers who leave the company for the next two years and who are at least 65 years old at that time, at least half a year before the state pension age and have worked for at least 40 years with the police. They receive a bridging payment of 1,765.67 euros per month for an employment of 36 hours or more. The scheme applies to around 5 percent of staff.

Trade union: “Not hoped for this”

The government and the police force consider it important that people can stop earlier if things are no longer possible. Rapid replacement is needed to maintain the force and to prevent colleagues from becoming overloaded.

Police union ACP said in a response that the letter is being studied. “It is clear that this is not the proposal that the unions had hoped for,” the ACP continues to prepare actions, because the proposal “is still miles away from the deployment of police unions.”
