3,000 decares of the DPF are free for vegetables, 5,600 decares for perennial crops – Agro Plovdiv – 2024-02-23 17:43:14

Today, the fifth meeting of the Consultative Council on Land Relations was held in the Ministry of Interior. The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Kiril Vatev, noted that it is important to regulate that cattle breeders receive priority and long-term pastures from the State Land Fund, which are close to their cattle-breeding site.

During the Advisory Council, it became clear that the free properties from the DPF for the economic year 2024/2025, suitable for the production of greens, are about 3 thousand decares in the territory of the whole country. These are vacant lands from DPF which are irrigated and suitable for provision for vegetable cultivation. For the creation of perennial plantations, the Regional Directorates of Agriculture predict that about 5,600 decares are suitable. These are the volumes for the lands from the DPF with the new amendments to the Law on the Ownership and Use of Agricultural Lands.

At the meeting, texts from the draft law on the ownership and use of agricultural lands were discussed, related to the distribution of pastures, meadows and meadows from the State Land Fund (DPF) and the Municipal Land Fund (OPF) to animal breeders.

Yesterday in Plovdiv, Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev statedthat after today’s Advisory Council on Land Relations, the Ministry will submit the project for changes to the Law on the Ownership and Use of Agricultural Lands (ZSPZZZ) in the parliament.
