It has already been announced that the meteorological weather conditions in Latvia will become more spring-like in the coming days – fog is expected at night, but on Sunday it will be warm and the sun will shine, the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center (LVĜMC) predicts.

On the night of Sunday, the sky will be cloudy, it will clear in some places, but significant precipitation is not expected. Winds will be light over most of the area, resulting in fog, while in the morning winds will shift from the south, south-west and will be light to moderate. The minimum air temperature will be 0…+5 degrees, in the southeastern regions up to +7 degrees.

In Riga, the night will be mostly cloudy, but without precipitation. A slow wind will blow and the air will cool down to +2…+4 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be sunnier and without precipitation. Fog will remain in some places in the morning. A moderate south, southwest wind will blow, gusts of 15-18 meters per second (m/s) on the coast, up to 20 m/s on the sea coast. The air will warm up to +12…+17 degrees, in the west – up to +20 degrees.

It will be partly cloudy and dry in the capital on Sunday. A moderate south, southwest wind will blow, and the air temperature will rise to +14…+16 degrees, LVĜMC predicts.
