“2Annas” invites to apply to create a short film in the 48-hour cinema community in Tukums / Article / LSM.lv

The Cinevilla cinema city will host a cinema community from September 18 to 20, whose members will compete for creativity, ingenuity and short films within 48 hours. Riga International Short Film Festival “2Annas” and Tukums Municipality in cooperation with the cinema city “Cinevilla” have announced team applications on the festival website until 28 August, 2Anna representatives said. –

During the film workshop or creative marathon, the creative teams will have to create a short film on a topic that has not been discovered yet, as well as include an important place or sight in Tukums. “Community, creative freedom, artists’ plein airs – these words are associated with the young generation of artists of the 80s. Tukums 48-hour cinema community in Cineville offers to create a similar creative atmosphere, bringing together both cinema lovers and professionals in one place. This creative short film marathon is essentially a time-limited film workshop.

The teams will be given two days to create a 1-5 minute short film and a corresponding poster.

It is a test of both creativity and imagination, as well as the ability to lead the team precisely and fit into the set time frames, ”says Viesturs Graždanovičs, the director of the festival“ 2Anna ”.

The aim of the creative workshop is to promote the shooting of new and innovative short films, as well as to popularize interest in Latvian architecture, natural landscape and environmental design among filmmakers and viewers, as well as to create new opportunities for cooperation and exchange of ideas in advertising, music video and short film production.

The works created in the film community will be judged by a jury of industry professionals, which includes Viesturs Graždanovičs, director of the Riga International Short Film Festival “2Anna”, artist and set designer Katrīna Neiburga, film director Juris Poškus, screenwriter Lote Eglīte, as well as producer and director Andre. The jury will select the team that will win the main prize, at the end of which it will receive 1000 euros from Tukums municipality. The best works will be shown at the closing event in Tukums, where a vote will take place for the audience sympathy award – an opportunity to implement a cinematic idea in the cinema city “Cinevilla”.
