29 new cases of COVID-19 in the Capitale-Nationale | COVID-19 | News | The sun

Lhe outbreak continues at Jardins du Haut St-Laurent, which has one new case among users, for a total of 15 infected residents, and six additional cases among employees, for a total of 24.

The Quebec City General Hospital also counts a new case among employees, who are now 29 to have contracted the virus (49 among users).

The private seniors’ residence Clairière du Boisé also has a new case among its employees, who are now three to have been infected (10 cases among users).

The situation remained stable in the nine other residential homes for seniors affected by COVID-19 (Jeffery Hale Hospital, CHSLD Paul-Triquet, Manoir de Courville, Jardins d’Évangéline, CHSLD Saint-Jean-Eudes, Manoir and Cours de l’Atrium, Havre Trait-Carré, CHSLD Yvonne-Sylvain and CHSLD Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes).

The Jeffery Hale Hospital remains the facility that has been the most severely affected by COVID-19, with 95 users and 116 employees infected, and 40 deaths. The CHSLD Paul-Triquet comes in second in terms of deaths, while out of 33 infected users, 15 perished. Les Jardins d’Évangéline follows with 11 deaths among the 60 users who contracted the virus.

No new deaths have occurred in the Capitale-Nationale territory during the last 24 hours. The total toll therefore still stands at 96 deaths. There are also 29 hospitalizations, including two in intensive care.
