In an intercity train in Tuesday, two passengers in western Switzerland were attacked by a man and injured with a broken bottle. The alleged perpetrator, a 26-year-old man, was arrested.
The incident occurred on an intercity train between Geneva and Freiburg, as the Freiburg canton police said. After the alarm went off, the train stopped at the Chénens FR station.
The suspect had first attacked a 27-year-old woman and seriously injured her with a broken bottle, the police wrote. A 20-year-old passenger intervened and was also seriously injured with the bottle. The victims were taken to a hospital. About 40 travelers were evacuated from the train.
