25 reported after partying in Kristiansand

The police in Agder first reported the incident on twitter at 02.05, while the actual report of a party riot reached the police at 01.31.

It was said that there was a party noise from an address in the center of Kristiansand.

– The incident was not very dramatic, but there was partying and noise. A total of 17 people were found at the address, says operations manager at Agder police district, Lars Hyberg to TV 2.

The operations manager says that the local infection control regulations state that it is not allowed to be together more than five, so therefore all present were reported.

At 03.23, the police moved out again to another apartment in Kristiansand where there was a party. Eight people were reported there for the same reason as in the first-mentioned incident.

Lots of Russian noise

There have been a number of reports to the police regarding disturbance of night peace in the district, he elaborates.

– In Kristiansand, Grimstad and in Arendal, there have been reports of riots. The majority of the messages have been in connection with the Russian celebration, says Hyberg.

He says the police have been present where the Russians have stayed more or less all night.

– We provide advice and guidance against the infection control legislation, says the operations manager.

Hyberg says that the police had expected a number of reports of partying and riots related to the Russians, but that this spring is a bit special considering the corona.

– That is why we are very much helping the Russians so that they do not get into a situation where there is an outbreak of infection, he says.

Fortress in the center of Bergen

Also in the Bergen area, the police were called when many had gathered in Nygårdparken in the center of Bergen.

– The police are on the scene after a report of loud music. There are about 200 people on there. The music has ended, the West police district informed about just after midnight.

Steinar Hausvik, operations manager at the West police district, tells TV 2 that there have been steady reports of party riots last night.

– About fifteen messages have been logged regarding disturbance of the night calm. Everything from a party at a private address to a party outdoors. There has also been a message or two on russ last night, says Hausvik.

Quiet and peaceful in Oslo

In the capital, operations manager at the Oslo police district, Per Ivar Iversen, can tell that it has been a relatively calm night.

– There have been some complaints about loud music, but no reports that too many have been collected. When it comes to disturbing the night peace, it has mostly been about muting music, says Iversen.
