A man tortured his neighbors’ dog to death while they were on vacation. Because of this and other allegations of animal abuse, he is before the Dieburg District Court.

GROSS-BIEBERAU/DIEBURG – A 24-year-old man from Groß-Bieberau had to answer to the Dieburg district court. As the Bild reported that Groß-Bieberauer tortured his neighbors’ dog to death while they were on vacation. Former friends of the accused described that he let the animal starve and thirsty in the allotment garden and hit it with a leash and garden hose and kicked it with steel-toed shoes. The accused sat in front of the Dieburg District Court on July 19 with his head and shoulders hanging. According to the picture article, he admits his actions.

According to the image, the accused explained in court the reason for the brutal actions against the husky: “the dog kept biting for no reason”.
When the neighboring family came back from vacation and wanted their dog back, the 24-year-old said the dog had an infectious disease and they should stay away. Weeks later he called the family to say goodbye to their pet as he was beyond saving and had to be put down.
Bound and hung on an iron bar
At the end of September, Groß-Bieberauer tied the dog up, hung it up on an iron bar, beat it with a shovel and then gave it a euthanasia injection in the chest. He stole the euthanasia drug from a cattle farmer.

According to the picture report, his neighbors’ husky is not the only animal that the 24-year-old has abused. Witnesses are said to have observed in January 2022 how the accused abused his grandfather’s Labrador in public – again out of anger.
Grandfather’s dog abused
Because the defendant hit the non-functioning cigarette machine in anger, the dog threw himself down, lay on his back and didn’t want to get up. The 24-year-old then repeatedly hit the screaming animal with the leash and kicked him in the head. The accused threatened passing witnesses, after which they called the police. One of the witnesses threw himself protectively over the animal and was injured in the arm by the accused.
