“24 Civil Security Cadets Trained in Life-Saving Gestures by SDIS Firefighters Receive Reward – Examples to Follow”

Since 2016, the Manuel-Azaña college has been organizing with the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 82) a training run by the State: the training of Civil Security Cadets.

In partnership with National Education and with the support of the Departmental Council, a new class of 24 cadets, girls and boys, was renewed this year. The objective is to enable these young students to acquire and develop their civic sense and to encourage their commitment to civil security.

Supervision was mainly provided for the firefighters by Angélique Candel, accompanied by the staff of the Azaña college, Floréal Zaragoza being coordinator of this section. This program allows them to live enriching experiences, to feel integrated into a solidarity life project, to develop a feeling of belonging to an objective which increases self-confidence and a sense of responsibility, to be trained in life-saving gestures (PSC1) by the Departmental Union of Firefighters.

The skills transmitted during the training are varied: demonstrating responsibility towards others; reflect on individual and collective responsibilities; understand the environment, threats and major risk issues; identify the risks and implement appropriate conduct or behaviour; perform first aid actions; master the principle of preventing and fighting fires; act to facilitate the intervention of relief actors; integrate and share the values ​​of the Republic and the firefighters. At the end of the training, a graduation ceremony took place in the presence of the parents of the students, Philippe Sola, principal of the Azaña college, Colonel Franck Dubois, deputy departmental director of the fire and rescue services of Tarn -et-Garonne, of Émilie Saussine, director of cabinet of the Prefecture and of Michel Weill, President of the departmental council and of CASDIS.

They were awarded to the 24 young winners: Yanis Alfonsoewa, Nathan Amilhau, Chloé Beauchart, Margot Bertrand, Lison Bessede, Céliha Bittner, Fatima Boukharta, Nicolas Colace, Camille Capus, Arthur Cayrou, Marion Dubuisez, Manon Ferreira, Clément Florens, Luis Fourtanet -Gomez, Loëly Grandpierre-Eschler, William Laborde-Aymard, Clara Ladu, Jairus Makwiza, Aurore Manso Da Silva, Lilia Mekki, Lola Moreno-Prière, Loane Roux, Lara Vital Oliveira, Shaynèze Zahir.
