22 young people apprehended in Chacao for holding quarantined parties

The municipal police of Chacao, Caracas Metropolitan Area, apprehended 22 young people early this Saturday for celebrating parties in the midst of a Covid-19 pandemic, reported the mayor, Gustavo Duque Sáez.

Through his Twitter account, the mayor explained that the municipal police approached a building in the area, where more than 20 people were gathered in the pent house, all young people, despite the prohibition of meetings for sanitary measures to avoid the spread of covid-19, and those who were transferred to the police headquarters to be instructed on the mayor of the virus.

He also noted that four of the boys could be infected.

Duque Sáez urged his population to act conscientiously for health, considering that “we are at a critical point” of infections.

He also emphasized that “parties, gatherings and crowds are prohibited” amid the global health crisis.

The mayor pointed out that the meetings are a form of contagion that destroys the efforts of public servants “who daily risk their lives working on prevention.”

Similarly, he stressed that the Chacao Police will continue to comply with the Law to enforce the regulations.
