The dates of the 2023/24 DFB Cup season

11th to 14th August 2023: 1st round*
October 31/October 1 November 2023: 2nd round
5th/6th December 2023: Round of 16
30./31. January, 6th/7th February 2024: Quarterfinals
2nd/3rd April 2024: semi-finals
25. May 2024: Final in Berlin

*Because champions FC Bayern and the DFB Cup winners are playing for the DFL Supercup on August 12, these two teams will not play their first round games until August 26/27. September out

When does the 2023/24 DFB Cup start?

The DFB Cup starts the new season between August 11th and 14th. However, the German Football Association has not yet communicated when the exact times of the games will take place.

Where is the DFB Cup broadcast?

The broadcasting rights for the DFB Cup for the 2023/24 season are also held by the public broadcasters, i.e. ARD and ZDF, as well as by the pay TV provider “Sky”. It broadcasts all 63 games of the cup season live, while ARD and ZDF own the rights to 15 live games, including the two semi-finals and the final in Berlin. They also show comprehensive highlights of all games.
