2021 e-health trophies, who will deconfine e-health?

Confiné.es… the carriers and carriers of e-health projects, both in France and internationally, are not in their minds. Never has a period been so flourishing for healthcare innovation. For this reason, the University of e-health has decided to extend the registration period for the 2021 e-health trophies until May 31. However, the few extra days granted to participate do not change the rules of the game! The 12 finalists for the trophies will be designated on June 22 during the #WarmUp of the University of e-health.

When confinement frees spirits

Whether they are startups, hospitals or clinics, health or medico-social establishments, groups of health professionals and / or patients, initiatives have multiplied in recent months. “It seems that the health crisis has amplified the desire to innovate in health. And this, very widely. In fact, if several projects are directly derived from big data to fight against the current crisis, many others relate to other fields of intervention and unrelated to Covid-19. ” says Virginia Doan, Director of Castres-Mazamet Technopole and the University of e-health.

The e-health trophies, the springboard for the health of tomorrow

Since their first edition, the e-health Trophies have now been recognized as one of the flagship markers of e-health projects. Thus, during the last edition, no less than 110 candidates were looking for this recognition and this labeling.

To go even further, the University of e-health has decided to create a new trophy for 2021: that of the business model. “If we want to fully participate in deconfining e-health and integrating it into the health of tomorrow, it has become necessary to integrate this economic dimension into our approach, especially since, this year, the jury welcomes the representative of one of the main investors in e-health, Dr Mussaad Al-Razouki, from the Kuwait Life Sciences Company. ” explains Catherine Durand, President of Castres-Mazamet Technopole and of the University of e-health.

The e-health trophies, for whom, how?
Open to all stakeholders in the e-health innovation ecosystem – entrepreneurs, researchers, patients, health professionals, students – who have developed a tool or an application in the field of e-health, the Trophées de la e -health aims to promote the use of digital technology in health, care, autonomy and well-being systems.

They revolve around 7 sectorial trophies – well-being, health and medico-social structures & establishments, patients, health professionals and caregivers, disability, big data & IA, Covid-19 – and 4 special prizes: the trophy Internet users, the jury’s favorite, the new business model trophy and the jury’s Grand Prix.

To apply, the projects presented must correspond to technological solutions (products or services), under study, development, or having been the subject of a marketing from January 1, 2019. The files of applications should be submitted by May 31, midnight.

The e-health trophies, at the heart of the summer camp of the University of e-health

The 12 finalists who will be announced on June 22 will meet during the summer camp of the University of e-health, on September 23 and 24, to present and defend their project in front of the jury.

The summer camp of the University of e-health, itself created on the initiative of Castres-Mazamet Technopole, has been one of the very first international events dedicated to e-health for 15 years. In 2 days, it brings together more than 800 participants from different continents to exchange, debate, discover and co-construct what will be the health of tomorrow.

The 2021 edition of the University of e-health summer camp is sponsored by Cédric O, Secretary of State for Digital Transition and Electronic Communications.
