2021 DBD Cases Drop, Kuansing Diskes Reminds About Transition Season

RIAUONLINE, TELUK KUANTAN-Cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Kuansing in 2021 decreased compared to 2020. This year until November the total number of dengue cases in Kuansing was 31 cases.

This case is much lower than in 2020 with a total of 246 cases and two deaths.

“Alhamdulillah, this year’s DHF cases are much lower than last year,” said Head of Disease Prevention and Control, Kuansing Health Office, Jumardi to Riau Online, Friday, November 26, 2021.

Until November 22, 2021, Jumardi said, the total number of dengue cases in Kuansing was 31 cases. The highest number of cases was in the Sungai Buluh Community Health Center, Singingi Hilir District. “The case in Sungai Buluh yesterday reached 10 most cases in Kuansing,” he said.

To anticipate and prevent dengue from occurring, the Kuansing Health Office urges residents to optimize the mosquito nest eradication movement (PSN) by burying, closing and stockpiling (3M) used goods.

“If the mosquito nests are not eradicated, it’s useless to do fogging,” said Jumardi.

The right step to prevent dengue, he continued, residents were asked to routinely carry out mutual cooperation in cleaning the surrounding environment, especially the home environment.

The Health Office also invites the community to always be active in doing mutual cooperation in cleaning water reservoirs and closing water reservoirs so that mosquitoes can no longer nest there.
