Municipal councilors are elected by direct universal suffrage by French and European voters registered on the electoral lists. The mayor and his deputies are subsequently elected by the municipal councilors. The duration of their mandate is 6 years.
The first round of municipal elections was held in France on Sunday March 15, 2020. The second round, scheduled to take place the following Sunday, was postponed until June 28, 2020 due to the coronavirus crisis.
