In Kyiv, in the forest near the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, also known as the Pirogovo Museum, bicentennial oaks were cut down. This was reported in the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center (KECC), reports “Comments”.

According to ecologists, several trees partially withered, but they were a home for birds in the Goloseevsky district of Kyiv.

“Recently, in the forest near the museum in Pirogovo in Kyiv, unknown persons cut down five 200-year-old oaks. Some of the oaks have dried up in places, but this is a home for birds, the Red Book stag beetle, bats, and dead wood, which is very useful for the forest,” they said. KECC.

In the Kiev Ecological and Cultural Center published a photo of the destroyed trees.

Previously, the “Comments” portal reported that that in Kyiv they demand through the court free from unauthorized development of land in the tract “Teremki” on the territory of the National Natural Park “Goloseevsky”. Unauthorized construction of non-residential structures was revealed on these lands and lands of road transport. Land plots belong to the territorial bulk of the capital and are built up illegally.

In addition, the people of Kiev require the city authorities to create a park in the Darnitsky district of Kyiv next to the incineration plant, thermal power plant and Bortnitskaya aeration station. This is stated in the corresponding petition registered on the official website of the Kyiv City Council. The author of petition No. 11651 Alexander Suprun believes that in Kyiv, on the Osokorky residential area, it is necessary to create a recreational park near Lake Vyrlitsa.

Meanwhile, in Kyiv, they plan to create a landscape reserve of local importance “Trukhanov Ostrov-1” on an area of ​​​​more than 310 hectares in order to save the territory from development.
