After four seasons at Paris St-Germain, Belgian side Thomas Meunier (28) has therefore signed up for four years at Lucien Favre’s Borussia Dortmund.

When leaving Paris, he did not fail to send a farewell message on social networks. “Four wonderful years in the most beautiful city in the world,” he wrote in particular. From the first to the last second, playing for PSG has been a privilege. Lots of meetings on and off the field (…) but above all a great honor to have been the first Belgian to be part of the PSG family. ” Meunier concludes his message with a compelling postscript: “The Champions League will be Parisian!”

By the way, Thomas Meunier necessarily thanked the supporters, the staffs and his now former teammates “for their precious and unconditional support”. But he did not forget to settle his accounts with some of them. In his message, he indeed specified in brackets, after his “Thank you to the supporters”: “Not the tocards of the networks”!

It should indeed be remembered that the Belgian side has often been taken to task on social networks by some of the ultra Parisians. He had been downright lynched when he “liked” a tifo of fans of OM, the sworn enemy of PSG. Whistled on the ground in the days following his “I like”, he had to justify himself: “Know that my involvement and my passion are devoted to you 1000% and the fact of loving what is done elsewhere should not in NO case question the respect and the desire that I have to fight for red and blue ”.

Meunier was turned on again after having liked an Instagram post from Manchester United, a few days after the dramatic elimination of PSG in the knockout stages of the Champions League, then when he wished Strasbourg good luck “for the friend Matz Salts ”, before the final of the League Cup.

Under these conditions, it seemed obvious that Meunier was not going to forget these “network tocards” when he said goodbye.
