2 dead, 3 injured in Atlanta shooting, all victims are minors
China News Agency, San Francisco, December 18.On the evening of the 17th local time, a shooting occurred in and outside an apartment building in southwest Atlanta, Georgia, USA.5 minors were killed and two of them are dead.
The ABC quoted local police officer Charles Hampton as saying that around 5:00 pm on the 17th, a group of people with guns came to the apartment where the incident occurred and a dispute ensued. Another group of people also armed opened fire first and the conflict then moved outside. Police found two dead outside the apartment and three injured inside the apartment.
Hampton said the two victims were boys, ages 14 and 16 this year. Two boys aged 11 and 15 and a girl aged 15 were taken to the hospital. At least two of the victims were Atlanta public school students.
The Associated Press quoted Hampton as saying the shooting was escalated by “some kind of discussion” on social media. The number of shooters is not yet known, but police believe more shots were fired.
